Psalm Aquino brought medals around his neck after winning the Milo Olympics Swimming Competition at Abellana Sports Complex last August 17, 2013.
Aquino overlayed eight gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal. He was proclaimed the 100 LC meter backstroke new record holder .
His coach was astounded of what Psalm has shown, it was really a big astonishing change.” he added. He never failed to give his whole energy and attention to his trainings.
Hyaline Aquino, Psalm’s sister, was most proud and she was very supportive . “I can’t resist shouting especially when there is a close fight between my brother and another contender but I’m very propitious to see that he surpassed those challenges.” Hyaline said.
She also stated on her Facebook post. “ Every race is an opportunity to measure yourself against your own potential. Close your eyes. Clear your heart and let it go. Keep swimming because dreams do come true. Put your faith in the Lord and he will do the rest. You can’t put a limit to anything.” This just proved how supportive and proud her sister was.
Last Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, Aquino competed for 2013 Little Milo Olympics National Finals and he was awarded most outstanding athlete for elementary boys swimming category.
He bagged three golds, three silvers and one bronze medal.
He won the following: gold — 4X50m Medley Relay, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle; silver — 4X100m Medley Relay, 200m Im, 50m fly; bronze— 100m fly.
Hon. Rodrigo Abellanosa, founding president of ACT, expressed his pride of Aquino. “ This news is an excellent birthday present for me.” he said according to Dr. Francisca Kilag, principal of ACT– ISD.
Aquino also bagged six golds from Talisay City Division Meet. He will compete for CVIRAA sometime in January or February next year.
